2000 News CGFNS publishes How to Take Tests PHILADELPHIA, PA — MAY 1, 2000 — The Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) has just announced releasing the publication How to Take Tests: Strategies for the CGFNS Qualifying ExamSM and the NCLEX-RN® examination. How to Take Tests is a follow-up to How to Study: Preparing for the CGFNS Qualifying ExamSM and the NCLEX-RN® examination, and is the second book in CGFNS’s new How to… series. In this sequel, author Kay Bensing, MA, RN, MJ, returns to emphasize strategies for taking multiple-choice tests and techniques for reducing test anxieties. The goal is two-fold. First, to analyze test questions and to recognize clues within the questions themselves that lead to the correct answers. After discussed techniques, sample test questions are given to demonstrate the specific strategies. Following the lessons are 50 sample test questions from a past CGFNS Qualifying ExamSM that readers can take and apply their newly-learned, test-taking skills. Together, this How to Take Tests and How to Study contain valuable information readers can use to achieve top scores on the CGFNS Qualifying ExamSM and the NCLEX-RN® examination.
