CGFNS launches new automated voice response system

The Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) unveiled a new, improved version of its automated voice response system in April 2003. The new system is integrated with the CGFNS website application system to bring applicants increased access to the status of their application and the most current information possible.

Applicants can call the system 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from any location around the world. Users will need to enter their CGFNS ID number and birth date to access their information.

The new automated voice response system allows applicants access to the same, in-depth information about their file as the website application system, which enables them to check the status of their application, find out whether they have been approved for a particular exam, discover what documents have arrived and check their account balance. Applicants can check the status of their application for any of CGFNS’s services and programs, such as the Certification Program, the Credentials Evaluation Service, VisaScreen®: Visa Credentials Assessment and the Credential Verification Service for New York State.

CGFNS strives to provide applicants with the most efficient and up-to-date resources and information possible, and remains committed to providing the same high standard in its screening, evaluating and testing services that foreign-educated health care professionals worldwide have come to expect and depend upon.
