The ANCC Certification Program is nationally recognized as a reliable gauge of a nurse’s ability to provide excellent patient care. There are four categories of certification: Inter-professional Certification (National Healthcare Disaster CertificationTM), Nurse Practitioner Certifications, Clinical Nurse Specialist Certifications, Specialty Certifications.
ANCC-accredited organizations provide nurses with the knowledge and skills to help improve care and patient care and outcomes through continuing nursing education (CNE) and skills-based competency programs.
PATHWAY TO EXCELLENCE®
The Pathway to Excellence® Program recognizes health care and long term care organizations that have created positive practice environments in which nurses can excel. To qualify for recognition, an organization must meet Pathway to Excellence® standards deemed essential for producing an ideal nursing practice environment.
Magnet Recognition® is a credential awarded to exceptional healthcare organizations that meet ANCC standards for quality patient care, nursing excellence, and innovations in nursing practice.
