Digital VisaScreen® Certificate

VisaScreen® is now online!

CGFNS now provides applicants a digital version of the VisaScreen® certificate instead of mailing a paper copy. This enhancement, which has been approved by the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS), enables us to provide certificates faster to our applicants and to make changes quickly should they be needed.

The digital VisaScreen® certificate contains a QR code and other information that will enable U.S. embassy and immigration authorities to immediately verify it through a secure portal.

Need to verify a digital VisaScreen® certificate?

Questions and Answers for U.S. Embassy/Consular Officials and Border Personnel

To improve services to our applicants, CGFNS International has developed a digital VisaScreen® certificate, which has been approved by the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS). For each applicant, the digital certificate will reside on a secure site (cgfns.org/vsverify) and can be validated by embassy/consular officials and border personnel through a QR code or by manually entering the applicant’s information at the site.

If possible, scan the QR code that is on the printed version. This will take you to the secure site, where the applicant’s information will have been automatically inputted. Select “validate” and the applicant’s secure digital VisaScreen® certificate will appear on your screen.

Go to the secure verification site directly at cgfns.org/vsverify and manually enter the applicant’s information from the printed digital certificate they have presented. Select “validate” and the digital certificate will appear on your screen.

The verification site, cgfns.org/vsverify, is a fully secure site. CGFNS fully controls and protects the content residing on the site, and the digital certificate itself will include a photo ID and other personal information that you can use to verify the applicant.

Questions and Answers for VisaScreen® Applicants

To improve services to our applicants, CGFNS International has developed a digital VisaScreen® certificate, which has been approved by the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS). Providing online access to your VisaScreen® certificate will enable efficiencies and convenience in the use of this service. For example, rather than having to wait for a mail courier to deliver your printed VisaScreen® certificate, the digital version will be available to use immediately upon approval. And if your certificate needs to be changed, the updated version will be available almost immediately, as well.

Once you are approved to receive a VisaScreen® certificate, a PDF version will appear in your CGFNS Online account. You will be asked to download and print this version, which will include a QR Code, photo and other important information about you, and take it with you to your embassy or consular interview and when you enter the United States. When you present this printout to the embassy or immigration official, they will scan the QR code and be able to view a secure online version of your VisaScreen® certificate, which they will use to validate your eligibility entry.

There is no additional charge for using the digital VisaScreen® certificate.

For the time being, we ask that you print out the PDF version from your CGFNS Online account and present that printout at the embassy/consulate and at the border. Please do not attempt to present it via your mobile device.

SCHEDULED OUTAGE NOTIFICATION: CGFNS Connect will be down for maintenance and updates on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 7:30AM to 8:30AM [U.S. Eastern Time Zone]. Thank you for your patience.
