Georgia Licensure & Registration Info

The Georgia State Board of Nursing licenses registered nurses and practical nurses. Georgia is a Nurse Licensure Compact (Compact) state, meaning that nurses licensed by another Compact state do not need to apply for licensure unless they plan to make Georgia their primary state of residency. All applicants who have worked less than 500 hours are required to submit a CES. All applicants seeking a multi-state license are required to complete a CES or if completed in another state, request a CES re-evaluation.
